My Organizations: If I ever quit being the person they hired, they won’t keep me around.If I ever appear to have gotten lost in lost in darkness, my people will drag me back into the light. My people: meaning family and friends.Staying where the light is keeps me honest. I know what’s best for me and I’m honest with myself about whether I am indeed doing what’s best for me. I know why I make the choices I make, and I pride myself in the fact that I have always been strong willed. Myself and my values: I know who I am.Even though all the decisions are mine to make, I assume he’s keeping me where the light is. Despite everything I know there’s a plan that I’m pretty sure I’m on to, but he can change it anytime because it’s his path, not mine. I try not to plan too far into the future because I’m so used to these interventions. God: Still unsure of where I am religiously, I can’t deny the many ways that he has intervened in my life for the good and bad. The Gravity TOMS I decorated for myself at a Style Your Sole event. This is accountability at it’s best to me. Even though they’re not here with me, they’re the only parent’s I’ll ever have. This lyric leads me to hope that I am still a light to them, that everything I do is making them proud. They’ve both passed on at separate times for separate reasons. Unfortunately, I am not an individual who has parents any longer.
The light reminds me to be the whole person, to carry myself in one way without hiding certain parts of myself. I find the phrase to be fairly self explanatory. my stepmother used to say that everything you do in the dark will come to light.I wanted to take a little time to explain those here, so it doesn’t seem like a phrase chosen out of thin air. The phrases which comes from the song Gravity by John Mayer has taken on many meanings (polysemy) for me in the past five years since I first heard it. Have become what the communications world would call a polysemy. In many cases the artist that comes to mind is John Mayer. I’m inspired a lot by music in all areas of my life.
